Our methos
VISUAL TESTING
Test based on obtaining information by visual observation and measuring instruments. It´s usually performed with the naked eye or with magnifying glasses (magnifiers)
LIQUID PENETRATION
Detects surface defects invisible to the eye by the use of capillary properties of liquids, forming an indication pattern on the surface of tested items
MAGNETIC PARTICLE
Used for detecting defects in ferromagnetic materials. Creating a magnetic field above the defect it can detect the defect by presence of a flux leakage field
ULTRASONIC
Based on the fact that the ultrasonic transducer sends short ultrasonic pulses to the tested item. When encountering a defect, part of energy of the ultrasonic wave reflects and returns back to the UT transducer
Ultrasonic thickness measurement
Used to inspect the metal thickness of ship hulls, piping and structural steel. Measuring how long it takes for a sound pulse to travel through a test piece and reflect back
X-RAY TESTING
The most useful NDT, as it detects subsurface flaws invisible to the naked eye. As the X-rays pass through the weld, any imperfections are detected by a dark shadow on the exposed film
